Aleph Alpha has released Kolibri, a new sovereign open-weight AI model.

The English-German Mixture-of-Experts model has 78 billion total parameters, activates roughly 3 billion per token, and supports context windows of up to 1 million tokens. Available under the Apache 2.0 license, Kolibri is designed for on-premise deployment in regulated sectors such as government, industry, and aerospace.
