Anthropic has revealed that Claude generated 318,484 protein designs in just 64 hours as part of research into potential scorpion antivenoms.

Using 12 scientific tools, the AI analyzed protein candidates, with laboratory tests confirming that 17 of 211 designs could bind to dangerous scorpion toxins. However, researchers have not yet demonstrated that these proteins neutralize venom, meaning no functional antivenom has been developed.

Capcom has confirmed a major cyberattack on its CAPCOM ID service, exposing information associated with 11,774,247 accounts worldwide.

The leaked data includes email addresses, login timestamps, and IP addresses, while 196 accounts had their passwords changed without authorization. Capcom says there is no evidence that user-created passwords or credit card information were compromised, and its investigation remains ongoing.

Cloudflare has deployed new security protections against two critical PHP vulnerabilities known as php2shell.

Its enhanced Web Application Firewall (WAF) analyzes both HTTP requests and server responses to detect exploitation attempts involving remote code execution and data exposure. The protections are automatically available across free and paid plans, but Cloudflare emphasizes that updating PHP remains essential for fully addressing the vulnerabilities.

A New Mexico court has ordered Meta to pay $25 billion for violating consumer protection laws related to user privacy and misleading business practices.

Amazon has announced that it has manufactured more than 1,000 satellites for Amazon Leo, its satellite broadband network designed to compete with Starlink.

Built at its Washington facility, the satellites will operate in low Earth orbit to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet to areas underserved by traditional networks. With more than 3,000 satellites planned for its first-generation constellation and approximately 400 already in orbit, Amazon aims to begin rolling out internet services before the end of 2026.

Apple Music has unveiled a refreshed logo and visual identity physically shaped by sound waves.

Created under the Made by Sound concept, the design uses real vibrations generated by music in liquid, captured on camera to produce flowing visual effects.
