Microsoft is rolling out Project Opal, a new AI agent inside Copilot, through its Frontier early-access program.
Opal operates a browser on a secure Windows 365 Cloud PC to autonomously handle multi-step workflows such as collecting audit evidence, managing IT tickets, or turning Excel data into presentations while continuing to work asynchronously in the background. Users can watch the agent work, provide additional instructions, or take direct control of the Cloud PC at any point.
