Boston Dynamics has introduced a new 13-DOF robotic hand for Atlas.

The four-finger design supports more dexterous grasping, in-hand object reorientation and the use of human tools, while direct-drive joints and tactile sensing are intended to withstand demanding real-world work. Boston Dynamics says the hand was also engineered for high-fidelity simulation and sim-to-real reinforcement learning.
