The European Commission used its EU AI Act enforcement powers for the first time, sending information requests to more than 30 AI companies.

The requests cover model security, independent external testing, post-market monitoring, copyright compliance and transparency around training data. The companies have not been named, and the move does not indicate that any violation has been established.
