Apple now allows universal apps on the Mac App Store to drop support for Intel-based Macs.

Developers can remove the x86_64 architecture from apps requiring macOS 13 or later and submit builds made exclusively for Apple silicon. The change could accelerate the Mac ecosystem’s transition to Apple silicon while limiting future updates for Intel users.
