Microsoft Research has introduced Quine, a new AI research system designed to model the complexity of biological systems.
Quine combines genomics, proteins, chemistry, cell states and bioimaging into a multimodal “world model of biology” that can help researchers evaluate possible experimental paths before committing laboratory resources. The system is also designed to connect AI models with scientific tools, literature, wet-lab experiments and researchers in a continuous discovery loop.
