Instagram has renamed its “AI creator” label to “AI-generated profile” for accounts built around AI-generated people.

AI persona accounts that fail to disclose their synthetic identity may face reduced reach and lose recommendation eligibility, with appeals available through Account Status. Human creators who merely use AI tools in their creative process do not need the profile label.
