Google released its AI-powered Google desktop app globally for devices running Windows 10 or later.
Accessible through the Alt + Space shortcut, the app can answer questions with AI Mode, analyze on-screen content and search the web, Google Drive or local files. It is positioned as a Google search app with Gemini-powered AI Mode rather than a standalone Gemini app.
