Google introduced Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, adding a real-time visual persona to conversational AI agents.
The system combines live video generation with speech to deliver synchronized lip movement, natural expressions and fluid dialogue, while still handling tool calls and data retrieval in the background. Live Avatar is currently available through Gemini Enterprise.
