Hugging Face-owned Pollen Robotics introduced Microduck on August 27, 2026, positioning it as an open-source platform for physical AI. 

The 25-centimeter robot can walk, carry small objects with its beak, recover from falls and help developers transfer behaviors trained in simulation to real hardware. Pre-orders start at $399, with initial deliveries planned before the end of 2026.
