UNESCO is hosting Digital Learning Week 2026 in Paris from September 8–11 under the theme “Education in the age of AI.”
The event examines synthetic knowledge, tensions created by AI in education systems, digital sovereignty and public-interest AI. More than 25 education ministers and national representatives adopted a joint statement calling for education to remain a human right and a common good in the AI era.
