NVIDIA has agreed to acquire open-model platform Hugging Face for about $12.93 billion.

The deal covers roughly $11.9 billion to stockholders plus up to $1 billion in equity retention for Hugging Face employees joining NVIDIA. NVIDIA pledges to keep the platform open and multi-cloud / multi-accelerator, with closing expected in the first half of 2027 subject to regulatory approvals.
