Researchers from Google and Google DeepMind have launched the DeepMind Institute to explore the safe development of artificial general intelligence and its broader societal impact.
The institute will publish diverse perspectives on AGI safety, economic disruption, model transparency and human well-being. It is led by Shane Legg, James Manyika and Demis Hassabis, with the goal of bringing researchers and wider society into the AGI debate.
