UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk called for internationally agreed red lines and accountability mechanisms for advanced artificial intelligence.
Türk warned that advanced systems could disrupt services, communications and democratic processes and might even pose an existential risk to humanity. He stressed that technology companies have a responsibility to reduce these risks.
